Privacy Policy

voxlate (“we”, “us”) is a WhatsApp bot that transcribes and translates the voice notes you send it. This policy explains what we process, why, and who we share it with. voxlate is operated by Sonokinetic BV (Netherlands). Questions: son@sonokinetic.com.

What we process

• Your WhatsApp phone number — it’s how the bot identifies you and replies. It’s also the key under which we store your settings and trial/usage counters.
• The voice notes you send — the audio is processed to produce a transcript and translation, then discarded (see “Voice notes are not stored”).
• Transcribed and translated text — generated transiently to send back to you; not retained after delivery.
• Usage data — your chosen target language, how many free translations you’ve used, your unlock status, and a per-day count of notes/audio length for fair-use limits.
• Payment information — if you purchase an unlock, payment is handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details; we receive only a confirmation that a payment succeeded.

Voice notes are not stored

We do not keep your audio. Each voice note is downloaded, transcribed, translated, and the audio is released from memory once your reply is sent. We do not build a transcript history.

How your data is used

Solely to provide the translation service: to receive your message, transcribe the audio, translate the text, reply to you, enforce the free trial and fair-use limits, and process a one-time unlock if you choose to buy one.

Service providers we use

To deliver the service, audio and/or text is processed by these providers under their own terms and privacy policies:

• Meta Platforms / WhatsApp — message transport.
• Cloudflare — hosting and the key-value store for your settings/counters.
• Groq and OpenAI — speech-to-text transcription of the audio.
• Anthropic — translation of the transcript.
• Stripe — payment processing for the optional unlock.

We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

Retention

Daily fair-use counters expire automatically within about 36 hours. Your settings and unlock status are kept while you use the service. You can ask us to delete your stored data at any time by emailing son@sonokinetic.com from, or quoting, your WhatsApp number.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under the EU/UK GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your data, and to object to or restrict processing. Contact us at son@sonokinetic.com to exercise these rights.

Children

voxlate is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We may update this policy; we’ll revise the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be reflected here.
